RGH Artists' Oil Paints, Inc. was founded in 1989, with a commitment to offering artists a line of professional grade oil paints and dry pigments that were both high quality and affordable. As an artist for over 40 years, Rolf Haerem, works on large abstract oil paintings. When searching for large quantities of high quality and affordable oil paints 27 years ago, he realized that this was simply something that was not available. Living in New York City at the time, Rolf explored the process of making his own paints. It was at this time that he purchased a small three-roll mill and began making paint for his own needs, as well as for the needs of his fellow artists.
RGH has grown and flourished from its humble beginnings. We now make and sell over 140 different colors of paint and dry pigment, and are proud to offer customized paint and pigment options for individual artists, art institutions, and art students. When you call our office you will find that our staff is knowledgeable, friendly and glad to assist you in any way. We want our customers to feel like they are a part of the family and you can rest assured that when you order from us you are receiving paints of the highest quality directly from our hands to yours.
While large corporate art supply outlets such as Dick Blick, Utrecht, and Jerry's Artarama have a larger breadth of products we find that being small has its advantages. We spend a great deal of time getting to know our customers and their particular needs, which allows us to cater to professional artists, historic sites and art conservators.
